Whenever he connects an ethernet cable to data transfer it says no ethernet cable connected when I can obviously see it connected to another PS3 in the back. Is there a way to fix this? Also where can I get this repaired? We got the console for around $120 and are not looking to spend much more to get this fixed. Also this console has had the YLOD but is fixed.. For the Data transfer probable. Unplug both PS3's , Plug in the Ethernet cable into both PS3's. Plug them back up. Turn on the 3.55 and wait until you see the theme come up and then start you up your online PS3.
There try data transferring then.

I also have some other questions. We do not know how to set up a Black Box FTP to host CL.. Also do you know how to install Kmeaw?

I use comgenie awesome file manager because I dont connect my 3.55 to the internet.
To install Kmeaw get a USB and make a folder called "PS3" and then make a folder install of that called "UPDATE" then plug usb in ps3 and From the home menu, select (Settings) > (System Update), and then press the button.

Select [Update via Storage Media], and then press the button.

First of all u paid way to much I paid 75 for my 3.55 it never was even opened up has warenty seal anyways I had the same problem just disable the Internet on both systems as for getting it repaired I think there's no pint but if u wanna search on Craigslist for local cheap ones

Yeah, I get the File Manager stuff now. I don't know if I should use Kmeaw because it seems many people get banned from it..

Well I didn't pay so... I couldn't find any other JB's for under $200 so that seemed like the best bet... Also thanks for the info.

You can't get banned for having CFW its offline anyways..
