Whenever he connects an ethernet cable to data transfer it says no ethernet cable connected when I can obviously see it connected to another PS3 in the back. Is there a way to fix this? Also where can I get this repaired? We got the console for around $120 and are not looking to spend much more to get this fixed. Also this console has had the YLOD but is fixed.. Oh yeah your right... So I can just play games on it and host data transfer lobbies on my 4.21? Also I have heard different things about Data Transfering. I heard its like an infection from one person, once you turn your PS3 off its gone and I also heard that its there permanently. Which one is true?

Yes just data transfer the 3.55 to your 4.21 PS3, No its not like a infection you will have it forever unless you delete the game data utility for mw2 or what ever game you are modding.

Alright, so my 4.21 will bassicly be normal except it has like a patch on MW2? Also do I need to Data Transfer everytime I want to change a patch or will I have a comgenie there?

You will have to data transfer every time you want to change your patch, comgenie will be there but it will not load, it will not work for another update then 3.55.
