AFTER you downgrade from 4.xx you must use the qa flag settings to downgrade from 3.55 to 3.50-3.41 and then reinstall 3.55 official before going into kmeaw for saftey. if you are in kmeaw then all you have to do is install official 3.55.
only way to downgrade from firmware higher than 3.55 is with a e3 or progskeet installed.
also if you are trying to switch to 4.30 4.21 cfw from 3.55 you have to do the toggle qa tutorial before pdating to any cfw higher than 3.55. only official firmware is safe to update to anytime.

im on 4.30 version right now im im about to downgrade to 3.55 u mean after i have downgraded to 3.55 is ill need to downgrade again to 3.50 then install 3.55 again before jailbreaking?

Is there a reason you want to go to ofw? If it's to play the latest games, there's a 4.30 cfw...but you need to be already jailbroken

downgrading gives you a cfw to start with. its if you want to change the firmware from the downgrade you will need to do the second downgrade with the toggle qa way.
