Post: YLOD CFW - What should I do?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Just got it today and it got the YLOD. What shall I do now. Reflow here at home, or pay $50 to get it reballed?

Fix it with the heat gun trick. Put up on craigslist and sell it for $170. That's what I did lol.
I went through all the hastle to get it fixed like you did and only lasted a month.

I got the YLOD like 2 month's ago I open up my ps3 cleaned it and left it off for 2 week's turned it on and worked again and hasn't stopped working since Smile

Did you put any new thermal paste or use a heat gun?

About 2 years ago i reflowed one of my PS3's with the heat gun trick and some new Thermal paste and still hasn't failed again to this day SmileSmile

How long did you heat, and at what temperature?

About 250C with 15 seconds each side

15 seconds around gpu & rsx chips then 15 seconds on the opposite side same area
