(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys! First of all, I did checked the stickied threads around here but none is answering my question(s). Im going to have my ps3 back from factory (refurbished system) and Im seriously thinking about putting CFW on it. Thanks in advance.

Whats the best CFW for running back ups?
Whats the necessary software to prevent console and account from getting banned?

Latest CFW: 4.40 Rogero v1.03
Every CFW has a risk of getting banned and I would prefer 4.40 Rogero v1.03, just play safe like you would on OFW and you shouldn't receive a console ban from Sony, do not use homebrews and modded eboots online because that's what gets you banned.

Hey, i would recommend, as Shaka said, rebug cfw( and of course stick to their latest cfws). There is always a risk of getting banned if u go online with it, otherwise if u just stay offline and dont connect to network u should be fine. For playing backups always use Multiman( and update it to latest version always). For the neccesary software, the safest way would be to not ever connect the console to network or go online on any account lol. Otherwise there is no safe software that allows u to be "invisible". Hope this helped.

Ok, thanks, and if I want to unlock trophies on the CFW system what do I do?

Well from that statement it sounds as if your wanting to hack them and probably sync them.

There is plenty of things to get the trophies hacked such as Jakes tool or even using a hex editor to manually do it but if your wanting to sync then there is a chance of brig banned as you will be signing in on cfw.

Just remove all traces if home brew and things before syncing to avoid this.

There is a tutorial on here for hacking trophies.

As for CFW I am using rogero 4.40 v 1.03 and it is working as intended just the same as all other CFW to be honest there are some things in them that may have differences and what not but they do the same things.

Ok, forgot to mention. Im a total n00b about this. I was refering to the fact if I play back ups offline, the trophy list is on the system? Then I have to sync them, I think...

Also using any kind of homebrews to delete game history and basically things like that wont be good in my opinion because sony sees this and when they see u have no history they become suspicious and check ur account/console and then ban u.

PSNinja gets the job done?

I personally dont think that its a good idea to use it, as i never ever used any history wiper, but yeah it does that. Please be aware of the risks u take if u do this for your own account. Edit: and yeah its just like the ofw, if u play a game it will show in the trophy list and u can sync them by going online.

So before a mod close this thread what are the tools I need ? (CFW, etc)

They are right, Rebug CFW is the best, but I think before asking this question, you should ask if your PS3 is the right model and on the right OFW because you cannot install CFW on all PS3s. First of all, you have to be on OFW 3.55 and second you have to have a downgradable model if you have OFW higher than 3.55.
