I have been looking everywhere for the KIOSK version of the 4.40 update, but have yet to find it.

He just got a Kiosk firmware,edited the copyright disclaimer,compiled it and idk what he did for the rest,i think nothing,but i told him we need to make a REAL MFW CREATED BY US not just a kiosk firmware
Also,bcs of him its not going anymore (the mfw)
but i am still checking on INSTALLING PKG ON MFW,as i have allot info on shit now

I have tried editing the KISOK and Offical 4.40 Firmware, but to no avail. It simply will not install. And if it does, it does absolutely nothing.

And you are able to install .pkg files, but only retail ones. For the pseudo-retail and debug you need the keys.

Maybe installing KIOSK has been disabled on 4.40?

No,its not.U Can btw only install KIOSK PKGs.As the fw is created for SHOP,as it cannot connect to the internet,they added INSTALL PKG so that the shop/kiosk owners,can install DEMOS to the ps3 without internet.
