But there both turned on and the yellow lights on the back where the internet cable plugs in are yellow indicating there connected. What am i doing wrong.?

I to had a similar problem when it came to data transferring.

Best thing to do to resolve it is the following.

On both PS3s go to the recovery menu and choose "Restore Filesystem" I think it's option 2 then you will be good to go.

Not sure why you have to do this but I have had to every time I wanted to.

Wont that delete everything on ps3? Cause im currently only using DLC of call of duty nd bo2 bo1 and mw2 takes forever to get back on

No it does not delete anything (maybe your messages) but that's it.

I do it all the time and it works without fail a problem obviously you will have to deactivate the account in OFW for purchases but nothing else.

Just don't format lol.

It may take some time to data transfer though because of the file size of BO, BO2 and MW2 so you will just need patience.

Whoops I noticed a typo I meant re activate the account lol.

Or try turn off both ps3's take power and data cord out then but back in and u should be right to go,It can take some time to show up i have had to wait 10 mins for it to show up at times
