Alright so i got my e3 flasher installed and it is on.
I dont know if it is working but the esata station works fine and boots up the xmb on the ps3 through the hard drive.
Now at first installation i couldn't make it read the hard drive so i re installed it and pushed the tf board farther on which worked.
So now i get a constant blue light, is that supposed to be there(on the tf board when the ps3 is on)?
Also when i try to update the flasher/board it wont work?
And then i try to back up, but it just blinks the first led.

So:
1. To upgrade can i use the samsung .bin?
2. To back up do i use the e3downgrade.bin?
3. My micro SD is 16 Gb does that matter?
4. Any other help?

If only 1 LED blinks when trying to backup, it is probably error code 01000000. Failed to initialize TF card - SD card not seated properly/Can't open bkpps3.bin. To fix this problem make sure the Micro SD Card you are using is placed in the TF Cover Board correctly and it has enough storage on it.

Here is a list of all error codes: (In the error codes, each #1 stands for a blinking LED on your TF Cover Board.)
01000000 - Failed to initialize TF card - SD card not seated properly/Can't open bkpps3.bin
01000100 - Failed to read files in TF card - SD card not seated properly/Can't find bkpps3.bin (Check its file name)
01001000 - Failed to open TF card - SD card not seated properly/Can't find bkpps3.bin (Check its file name)
01001100 - Failed to write files to TF card - SD card not seated properly
10000100 - Failed to initialize NOR in E3 - Check E3 Linker Pads/Reattach ribbon on E3 - It is not on properly.
10000101 - Failed to read NOR in E3 - Check E3 Linker Pads/Reattach ribbon on E3 - It is not on properly.
10000110 - Failed to erase NOR in E3 - Check E3 Linker Pads/Reattach ribbon on E3 - It is not on properly.
10000111 - Failed to write NOR in E3 - Check E3 Linker Pads/Reattach ribbon on E3 - It is not on properly.
10001100 - Failed to initialize PS3 BIOS - Check E3 Linker Pads/Reattach or apply pressure to clip on PS3/Reattach ribbon on E3 - It is not on properly.
10001101 - Failed to read PS3 BIOS - Check E3 Linker Pads/Reattach or apply pressure to clip on PS3 - It is not on properly.
10001110 - Failed to erase PS3 BIOS - Check E3 Linker Pads/Reattach or apply pressure to clip on PS3 - It is not on properly.
10001111 - Failed to write/erase PS3 BIOS - Check E3 Linker Pads/Reattach or apply pressure to clip on PS3 - It is not on properly.
11000000 - Wrong settings of switches - Check toggle switch - wrong setting
11000010 - PS3 is operating NOR, E3 Flasher cannot operate at the same time - Check toggle switch - wrong setting/Reattach ribbon on E3
11000100 - Not the right PS3 for this backup - Already used e3flasher on 1 console
11001000 - Wrong PS3 version, not supported at present - Metldr.2 model undowngradable
11001100 - Wrong function settings - Check toggle switch - wrong setting
11001111 - Missing Tristate - Check SBE (Tristate) connection on ribbon

The 8th LED is always on, and i have taken apart and re installed the flasher. i cleaned it and placed 4 coins on top of it, still nothing. it just stands there and when i try to upgrade or back up with the e3downgrade.bin or the update.bin, it just flashes with the 2nd LED, adn the 8th is on at all times.

Sorry, I don't know what to do from here. All I can say is keep trying and keep searching to see if you can find anything. Find someone that knows what they are doing, like at the nearest computer store or something. I don't know. Wish I could have been more help, sorry.
