It will be the determining factor on if you should even pursue a jailbreak with this specific console or not.

if your ps3 is on 4.11 you cant jailbreak it

Ok, you will need an E3 flasher to downgrade or you will need to send it in to someone whom offers the downgrade service.

it doesnt matter if it has been jailbroken you cant install cfw over anything higher than 3.55 fw

Not true. With a hardware flasher it is easy to achieve a jailbreak on a 4.11 console even without the need to downgrade to 3.55.

As long as your logic board is still good then you will still be able to play game backups and movies stored on HDD/External HDD with your console jailbroken again.
