Post: Ps3 bricked Help?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); My ps3 just got bricked not to long ago. Is it the hard drive thats messed up or the actual console? Could i replace the hard drive and get it unbricked?

You can try to just turn it on. If you just get a black screen then try it through recovery.

Yes, it will format when putting a new HDD in.

It wont read 4.21.2 rebug. should i try OFW 3.55 or 4.21

Check the MD5 of the 4.21.2 PUP to verify it is correct and that you have it in the proper format PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP

Definitely don't try installing 4.21 OFW unless you have a flasher.

Ok when ever i put the 4.21.2 rebug it says that nothing can be found on the usb. i did it correctly

That means 1 of 2 things.

1. It isn't named properly on the USB PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP
2. The USB isn't working properly on your console......try using another one.
