Are you doing the correct button combo:L2 + L1 + R1 + R2 + L3 + D-pad Down
Is your Blu-ray working?
Did you try updating through SAFE/Recovery mode??

If you happened to get the hidden menu: “Edy Viewer”, “Debug Settings”, “Install Package”
Under Debug Setting navigate to: Debug Settings> System Update Debug> Turn ON.
Try to update either through the XMB or SAFE mode.

Try using another QA pkg. Weird that you get the beeps but no secret menu. No secret menu means QA flag not activate.

yeah. well thats what the 3.55 v 3.7 is for. you downgrade to 3.55 cfw, then update to 3.55 v3.7 then you can upgrade to what ever you want. wen i done it i tryed to upgrade without the v3.7 and it said data corrupt. so i install the 3.7 and then it worked.

Its sounds like QA is enabled? Try and install 3.55OFW through XMB or Recovery then you can go to any other CFW.
