everytime i run QA Flag its gives me a black screen and beeps 2-3 times (like it supposed to) but when i got to network setting and press the combination, nothing happens can someone help me find away around this?

UPDATE: i got the QA flag issue fixed. but still get a error when trying to update.

Is all your hardware working? I know you said blu ray is but how anything else.
Under the Safe/recovery mode why not try Restoring File System?
If all fails, then try to Restore PS3 System: That will format everything.
