What I understand is that CFW come from OFW that have been modified for the installation of homebrew and for the CFW to look like that particular OFW version. This is not a spoofer by any means.

Spoofers are homebrew that when installed make it seem that you're on that particular firmware it is design for.

So, please tell the mate before you, that there is no JAILBREAK above 3.55 and the only way to install 4.50CFW is to be on 3.55. And don't confuse him by telling him that there is no 4.50 CFW currently because that is incorrect information.
