(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys today I purchased an E3 flasher and a couple of ps3's that are going to be downgraded. I have read a bunch on flashing systems back to 3.55 so I feel pretty confident that there should be no issues.

My question to everyone is who here has experience with downgrading Ps3's using the flasher?

How was your first experience when you downgraded your first ps3?

And last, who can I ask for help (if needed) when it comes in the mail next week?

dont be afraid to trim the metal plates/shield that cover the mobo also, it will make life so much easier. another thing, dont be intimadated by all the confusing tut's...its really, really simple as long as theres sufficient pressure on the clip.

DONT TEAR THE RIBBON CABLE....ITS MADE OF WARM BUTTER
i used clear packing tape and made a protective barrier with mine....after tearing one...i cant stress how fragile the ribbon cable is...and a hairline tear will ruin everything

you dont have to go to 3.55...just install the firmware you want to use

and as someone said before...backups, backups, backups...

this video will help...i believe its from a member here

Will a micro SDHC card work in the flasher? That's all I could find around my town in 3 different stores I went too.

yes...i bought the stupid e3 card reader and you dont even need it..i just used a cheap little 2gb micro sd card...and even the shitty little adapter was perfect.

edit: the sdcard works for just flashing over the ofw...but i think you do need the e3 reader for more complicated stuff like dual booting and some other stuff...but thats above my pay grade lol

Just to update, I received my flasher last night and was able to successfully flash it back to 3.55 (would have went further but it was 3 am and I had to be up at 5 :/ ). And actually it was fairly simple to do with the exception of the clip! After about 40 bad dumps I clamped the hell out of the chip and made about 8 successful dumps. Then I did the flash and all was good. Thanks again guys and Libra7ry I really appreciate your YouTube tutorial! Helped out tremendously!

Thanks man I'll be sure to add ya on Skype. And I am pretty familiar with the ps3, I have taken them apart and replace thermal paste and also BR Drives multiple times. Really the mechanical portion of it doesn't seem bad, it's the actual flashing portion that kinda interest me. But yeah man, thanks for the support and I'll be in touch when the flasher comes in
My first experience was "Breath Taking" with glowing colors and when I took my PS3 apart like "5 times" to get in right i knew i was going to be good at Modding but my first experience was amazing the only error i ever got was "please insert a media deviece with a Update ERR and higher"`but when i turned my PS3 off and on again it was good a again =D
