Edit: actually try this way/trick with penny coins that alchybear figured out. It's not a permanent fix though i think, but hey might work for you ->

But if pressure/coins on RSX trick doesn't work for you and or would like a more permanent fix... Well you need a BGA rework station//machine if you want to do it all yourself & well those are quite expensive and not really for the beginners with 0 knowledge or experience. There are youtube videos though on how to use a BGA station/Infrared IRDA soldering stations but yeah if you don't spend the time reading/learning and or practicing,+ have to correct tools, stencils etc, you might totally wreck your PS3's motherboard.
Anyway so yeah, also i honestly don't advise doing the cheap/"easy" reflow way that involves a heat gun as even if you do bring console fully back to life it's only temporary fix (unlike reball which is quite a permanent fix)
Although i almost forgot to mention, sorry. There are repair services & repair shops/companies depending where you're from, that fix/repair PS3 YLOD/RLOD + GLOD fault PS3S by reballing professionally with reworking station/s that they have.. Google & ebay search if you're from/at America or UK hopefully like i am i know a number of pro sites/companies that they can do. Excluding P&P can cost +£20 to £65+ though depending on who you choose to go with. It might be or not be worth it if you don't have the money to spare. As in i mean if data on PS3 isn't important for you, you could just buy a new slim CFW PS3, and trust me slims are a lot better, not prone to problems & a lot less trouble unlike the phat/fat PS3 models are.
