False DEX (DEX converts through REBUG) makes the PS3 run hot. Same for CCAPI. You should move to PS3ita so the system will run cooler. False DEX takes more processing power and heat.

Should I go to 4.55 rogero or 4.50 ITA DEX

IMO, if I had to RTE, I'd do it on CEX, so Rogero. It might be slower than DEX, but it's more reliable and the system won't crash as often. The big time tools support it as well.

Running plugins at this point might be a little difficult, so I would just, if possible, put some fans pointed directly at the PS3 very close and put them on high. I know it sounds stupid, but if the internal fan isn't doing the job, that might help. Also, set the PS3 on its side. That usually drops it a degree or two.

Take the system to the coolest room in your home that has a TV. My room is hot and it makes the PS3 overheat on false DEX but it works fine everywhere else.
