Yes I have a debug eboot on the game.
And before you ask what game it's every single game I try to use tmapi with.
TM version is 420.1.14.7

EDIT: so I had someone help me out.
1st. Start the game that you want to use tmapi with.
2nd. Don't connect on TM just open it.
3rd open the tool you want to use.
4th. Now click connect while DEX or TMAPI is selected. It should automatically connect to TM.
5th. Click attach.
It should be working if it didn't make sure you have a debug eboot.

Hey man, I couldn't find you on skype, could you possibly help me? I have a few questions.

iff you put it on debugging mode your ps3 will automatically go to deebug screen and you willno longer have access to your xmb screen......iff this happens you will have to retore your ps3 to video mode then you can reset it
