Post: Why Wont My PS3 Recognize My USB?
08-18-2014, 12:56 PM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So, Ive tried multiple times to put my PS3 into kiosk/Shop. Cause my old PS3 on dex went YOLD, so I figure it will have less of a chance of going YLOD if I dont jailbreak it. Anyways... My PS3 wont update over my formated FAT32 USB. I have updated on that same USB b4. But it says No Applicable Update data was found, thats just in the XMB screen. In safemode it gives some other error 8002F2BF. And I have formated it many times to FAT32, so I do know what its formated to. But back to my question, why wont it update over USB?

Why would you go on kiosk firmware? Facepalm It's nothing like a cfw ps3. You can't even use the install pkgs under settings Facepalm

Ha, yeah I know... But you can bypass, so... Thats mainly why. Also I have tried other .pup files that should at least show up on the PS3, yet it doesnt. Anyways, you didnt answer my question.

I have the PS3 folder in the root of the USB, the UPDATE folder inside of the PS3 folder and the PS3UPDAT.Pup file is inside of the UPDATE folder.

Try formatting the usb, with mini tool partition manager, and switch the format on the usb from fat32 primary tot fat32 logical
