Post: Why Wont My PS3 Recognize My USB?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So, Ive tried multiple times to put my PS3 into kiosk/Shop. Cause my old PS3 on dex went YOLD, so I figure it will have less of a chance of going YLOD if I dont jailbreak it. Anyways... My PS3 wont update over my formated FAT32 USB. I have updated on that same USB b4. But it says No Applicable Update data was found, thats just in the XMB screen. In safemode it gives some other error 8002F2BF. And I have formated it many times to FAT32, so I do know what its formated to. But back to my question, why wont it update over USB?

Try formatting the usb, with mini tool partition manager, and switch the format on the usb from fat32 primary tot fat32 logical

I'm gonna take that as a no... You don't have any other solutions...

try to restore and rebuild the data base and file system then try if not then restore the console back to factory settings (FORMAT HDD) at your own risk though

So I tried restoring and rebuilding the data base. And it still didn't update with my usb. And I have some old accounts with map packs but I don't remember the password. So... I don't want to restore to factory settings. Any other suggestions? I've looked over many sites and haven't found any solutions, yet lots of people have had this problem.
