(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); i bought a fat CFW PS3 on ebay a while ago and ive been using it for some months now.. but the thing is the seller was like ''no signs of YLOD or overheating issues'' and when it arrived i installed all the cfw materials like normal and i really just play GTA V, IV and BO2... and so when i start up GTA 5 it used to shut off after a couple minutes when i start up the game but it only happens about 3 times.... then i could play fine.. when i load up BO2 or GTA IV it is so ridiculous how many times it shuts off the second after loading the game up.. it happens about 6-9 times it beeps 3 times and shows the yellow light for a second and then turns red and i have to restart 6-9 times everytime i wanna play BO2/GTAIV... it is really annoying to the point where i dont even wanna play the game anymore because it shuts off to much. so.. i think i got the YLOD can anyone confirm this i mean the ps3 is normal it only shuts off when i load up a game... but it shuts off on the XMB sometimes but damn it is very frustrating.

If it show the yellow light its a sign of YLOD.

could be fan cloged up you tried cleaning it and replacing thermal paste?

no i have not tried that but i doubt it will work i'd rather just buy a new console but definitely not a fat

My fat ps3 was doing that but once I install new cfw (rebug 4.46.1 rex) it stopped could be cfw problem I was on rogero/cobra hybrid 4.46 cf

Install qa flag the use rogero 3.55 downgrader then install new cfw

i just finished installing rogero 3.55 downgrader, i have done this yesterday and installed rebug 4.46.1 rex but my ps3 still shuts off during gameplay.. any other cfw out there? or any tips

Check if your PS3 has a ZSSR5391A Power Supply, this runs pretty hot.

Maybe you need to replace the thermal paste (signs of yold)
