Post: New PS3 3.55 (HELP)
10-14-2014, 12:44 PM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello,

I was wondering, what specific Rebug do I need to install to have it DEX.

There is REBUG 4.46.1 D-REX EDITION – AUG. 2ND 2013, can I install that on a clean PS3 Slim 3.55? if not, which specific one do I need to install? would I have to install an older Rebug FW, then install over it with the new Rebug FW firmware?

Thanks for your time and help.

Do a barrel roll!
You can use any rebug Rex but I used rebug 4.46 Rex then converted to Dex then went to ps3ita 4.50 because I like to use ccapi and tmapi

I've installed REBUG 3.55.4 REX EDITION as that was the only one that would install for some odd reason (over 3.55 OFW.

Now, I'm trying to install REBUG 4.46.1 D-REX EDITION, which is what I wanted to install in the first place, but wouldn't.

Everytime I try to update, it says 80029CC (file corrupted)

I've checked with the MD5 tool and it comes out ok, as I downloaded from official site.

I've also gone into rebug toolbox and set these settings...

- System Mode (normal)

- Debug Menu Type (CEX QA)

I've also gone into Settings > debug settings > system update debug (On)

Then I go into update, it shows ....

(GREYED OUT) Update via Internet

(CLICKABLE) Update via Storage Media

(GREYED OUT) Update via Hard Disk

(GREYED OUT) Delete Update on Hard Disk

I've tried so much crap and it just doesn't seem to be working. The file is in the right directory PS3 > UPDATE > PS3UPDAT.PUP

and the file is fine, but it says "corrupted" 80029CC every time I try update it.

Your help is much appreciated if you can help me. Cheers

I was on a clean 3.55 OFW (brand new)

I first installed REBUG 3.55.4 REX EDITION

It went all good... now, I'm trying to install REBUG 4.46.1 D-REX EDITION over it with the settings I have provided above.

Thanks

Do you just want Rebug, I mean you could get PS3ITA which Is recommended for first time users If you need the downgrade & upgrade to PS3ITA let me know I can help you.

I've done a ton of research on RTM e.t.c, spoofing and everything.. I know all of it, but just getting this thing installed is a problem and it's being horrible to me. lol

There could be some settings I have to change or something?
