(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); guy's, i need help with this big time, i converted cex to dex months ago on 4.46 rebug just updated the d-rex of this last night with qa flag on & totally screwed my ps3 all i get now is safe mode, otherwise it black screen, in safe mode nothing really works either, system update says not applicable with all the firmwares i have tried & any other option just goes to a blank screen nothing really happens. can anyone advise on what to do, is it a hard drive fault? dont want to lose my jailbreak on it.

always been fine up until last night

Start your ps3 normally then after 1 minute fire up target manager and connect it, if it successfully connected then right click on the target and Click " Reset into System Software Mode" and you should be ok.

I agree try what Cyb3r stated.
Also....have you tried installing a DEX pup from the recovery menu?
I had the same issue with another console...the customer had bricked the console and was unable to install any pup from the recovery menu,until i tried a DEX pup and all went perfect :-)

Go to recovery screen, get a 3.55DEX downgrader and choose System update on the recovery screen and your file should pop up, just do it then go to any dex firmware you want!

thanks for the responses, my ps3 is dead on start up just black screen, will not power off i have to pull the power cord.
how do i find the ip for target manager if i cannot see it on the ps3 what my ip is?
it will not pick up any pups, i must off put d-rex then mixed up a rex on top im not sure, it just will not do anything from safe mode.

any other ideas guys please

Haxor a massive thanks to you!! i found a 3.55 dex dwngrader & it found the update & worked!!!

but now i couldnt get off the 3.55 to update changed the target to cex from dex level was cex & now i think its bricked it just does a load of beeps then shuts off, not even safe mode now????

hey i have the same probably and wont detect any pups... can you send me the downgrader you used?

ok now when i go to update it says serious error has occured.. and when i go into recovery mode and click system update it feezes as soon as i click it
