(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello Members Of NGU, I am in need of some help with my ps3 & e3 flasher. Today I was attempting to downgrade my slim ps3 4.60 (CECH-2001). I Had Successfully Gotten 3 dumps from the nor chip, went on pc opened nor inspector everything looked good(all green). Then I took one of my backups and patched it with Habib 4.60 dump patcher. After that I set the correct lights on the e3 to allow the dump to be transferred. Transfer took about 10-15 minutes before completing. After that I turned my ps3 & off and when I turned it back on I was greeted with the ylod... I have just changed the thermal paste to see if that was the problem because the paste was awfully dry, but it was not the problem. I am looking for somebody with skills of a e3 flasher to help me out here. Thanks

make sure the 4 screws you use to screw 2 plates with are not to tight because if you screw the 2 plates to tight it will result in a YLOD... just try to loosen them a bit if they are to tight

make sure that your dump is byte reversed when flashing back. open it in HxD and search for "saceru_eoldare" without the quotation marks. if it doesn't find it, download FlowRebuilder from somewhere, and byte reverse it. Hopefully this helps :P

ok, so it is byte reversed so e3 flasher should be able to handle that. did your fan get really loud at all?

No fan does not get loud, both chips have arctic silver 5 paste on them also. How can I put my original bios back into the ps3, is it with flash fun? Ps3 Only stays on for a few seconds.

you will need to ground the tristate by soldering a cable onto the motherboard. don't worry, it is not very hard. look at this image: You must login or register to view this content. and solder the 'GP2 (NOR_TRISTATE) to any GND point, hopefully this makes it stay on. i think it is also possible to just hold a cable to connect the two points, but soldering is definitely the better option
