(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello Members Of NGU, I am in need of some help with my ps3 & e3 flasher. Today I was attempting to downgrade my slim ps3 4.60 (CECH-2001). I Had Successfully Gotten 3 dumps from the nor chip, went on pc opened nor inspector everything looked good(all green). Then I took one of my backups and patched it with Habib 4.60 dump patcher. After that I set the correct lights on the e3 to allow the dump to be transferred. Transfer took about 10-15 minutes before completing. After that I turned my ps3 & off and when I turned it back on I was greeted with the ylod... I have just changed the thermal paste to see if that was the problem because the paste was awfully dry, but it was not the problem. I am looking for somebody with skills of a e3 flasher to help me out here. Thanks

also make sure you are using the correct patcher for your firmware. and one last thing, if it still doesn't work, reseat clip and try again

make sure you have put cardboard underneath the two plates to prevent shorting, only do this while the ps3 is taken apart. also make sure you have put a pea sized blob of thermal paste on the cpu and rsx and just screw the fan on top of it without spreading it, otherwise air bubbles will appear

I truly appreciate all the help i've been getting gotta love NGU community. THis time I have received an error from the e3 itself

1 0 0 0 1 1 0 0 Failed to initialize PS3 BIOS Check E3 Linker Pads / Reattach or apply pressure to clip on PS3 / Reattach ribbon on E3 - It is not on properly. <------ possibly damaged ribbon cable from opening & closing the ps3 so many times?
Also opened up 3 times still got same error. Put tape on cardboard then on clip for extra support.

firstly, did you put the cardboard under the metal fan plates? if so, good Smile i forgot to say, cereal box packaging might be a better idea, but this won't help with writing the dump, just making sure the fan has a good connection.

as for the writing part, examine the clip for any tears or scratches you think might be the issue. if you find any, stop right here and get a new cable from amazon (just search for "e3 flasher clip suit"). if you didn't see anything wrong with the cable, then take the clip off and clean the nor chip and the e3 cable pins with isopropyl alcohol 99%. the correct way of putting the clip onto the chip is to prop it vertically up against the back of the chip, and just flip it down like a door and apply some pressure (be careful, too much pressure can break the pins, so don't apply ridiculous pressure). then just stick it down with some black tape (preferred) or sellotape, and try writing again. if the worst comes to the worst and none of this works, you will have to use the e3 linker, which involves soldering a bunch of cables and can be quite hard if you aren't very good at soldering.
