(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi guys,

I have spent countless hours trying to get mutliman to boot games off my Seagate 3 TB external HDD & nothing works. I have the latest stable CFW version of Rogero, 4.55.

I have tried formatting to FAT32, changing the partition size from 1 TB to 3 TB, altering states between "logical" & "primary" & setting the partition "active." I have also tried formatting the FAT32 partition to a cluster size of 32 KB. No matter what I try it will not detect my drive. However, my USB keys formatted to FAT32 have no trouble with multiman and games boot off of it fine.

What am I doing wrong here?

Broken? What does that mean? I use it for other purposes besides PS3 games, Storage/NAS & it works fine.

Get facts straight before posting them

Ask Citadel how he got his 4tb to work and what program he used to get his external to work!

I would suggest using FAT32Formatter: You must login or register to view this content.
I've used this on my 2tb External HDD and it works fine.

I've also been reading that people have successfully have used other programs and worked for them.

Buy another hard drive that is already formatted as fat32.

Thanks for your advice guys but I got it working in somewhat satisfactory way. Still not happy about mutliMAN/PS3's picky nature.

I got a FAT32 partition working on my Seagate 3TB external under the following conditions. The FAT32 partition is formatted to a 32 KB cluster size (256 KB did not work), the partition is under 1 TB (over 1 TB was not detected for me), I have two FAT32 partition & I can alter between them by converting between logical & primary. Currently the logical partition is being detected. I use Easus for my partitioning, NTFS compatibility was unsuccessful for me. MMOS would freeze when I clicked on the PFS driver folder in the explorer window.
