(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So, I'm not exactly sure what the difference is between CCapi and Tmapi... I use CCAPI 2.50 on my CEX ..I'm wondering if I should use the same on my DEX to connect or is there a different process to RTM on DEX. I know it's a bit of a dumb question but I wanted some input before I installed CCapi on my DEX.

Thanks for any help/advice.

I looked for a "how to use" on the Rebug toolbox, but can't seem to find anything. Is there a tutorial on YouTube somewhere on how to use the tool box, etc? I know how to use the CEX, but am still learning my way around R-DEX.

To use TMAPI the PS3 SDK is required, not the whole thing just the Target Manager part and you get that from the SDK. You will have to google it or use you favourite torrent site to get that as posting links is a no-no.

To give an idea of the advantage of TMAPI over CCAPI my GT6 tool does a first run scan to automatically find all the functions and data locations it patches. Since this works even after there are updates to the game it is an extensive scan. With CCAPI 2.60 it can take 15 to 20 minutes to complete this, with TMAPI it takes 20 seconds to do the same scan. The difference in speed is huge!

Learning to setup and use Target Manager is well worth the effort. In fact there is no reason to use a DEX CFW if you do not have Target Manager installed.

Can I ask you why you converted to DEX if you planned on using CCAPI?

I have both, a CEX system on Rogero 4.55, and a DEX on Rebug 4.46 or something..I'm just not familiar with the DEX setup.

You install it on your computer not on your PS3. Nothing needs to be installed on your PS3 except for debug eboots for any and every game you want to RTM.

So, in order to connect to any COD tools, I have to have special eboots for every one of them?

It you want to use TMAPI, yes. Making a debug eboot is a very simple process that takes less than a minute to do. This is what DEX is for, it lets you run 'special' eboots so you can use a debugger with them.

So, these eboots I make..what exactly needs to be on them? I know how to make an eboot for let's say mw3,and you can put uavs, big xp, etc. I'm guessing these eboots are different?

And btw, thank you for all the info/help.
