I did read it, but it's not possible to jailbreak any version higher than 3.55. Downgrading is your only hope

I have the E3 which worked on my system that was 4.66. The other system is (was) 4.70; if you read you would have seen that. Anyway it's sorted now thanks to Dirty Smasher

I just jailbroke a PS3 CECH-2501B the other day on 4.70 OFW. It's not easy and a pain in the ass but i eventually got a good backup and successfully flashed the patched one. Ignore the RS01 Hash error and disable hash checks. When applying the E3 flasher, the trick that worked for me after 7 hours of nothing, was o put tape over the chip and tape 3 pennies on top of it. Put the metal casing back on both sides and screw in the fan. This will put alot of pressure of the nor chip and allow the E3 flasher to stay connected

You need hardware, an E3 Flasher should do just fine mate
