I recently bought a slim 3.55ofw console unknow of its history
Every time i try to install cfw i get 8002F159 error code.

I have tried multiple usb's & an external HDD Multiple cfw's ,
I md5sum checked them all they are all non corrupted i even tried to reinstall ofw3.55 again
I have tried to install via restore menu but it asks for 4.70 or higher?

Im loosing patience with it fast the only thing that worked was geohots 3.55-jb which is useless for what i want to do
I will pay $10-20 for someone to help me fix the problem!

check whether your ps3 is on cex or dex...

Yo try this.use a 4.70cfw cex via recovery mode than qa flag n downgrade to whatever cfw u want

Douche? I was only trying to help and the downgrader if already on 3.55 will just enable qa... .

dont listen to them, they are wrong anyway lol besides a downgrader isnt a downgrader when its really an upgrader firmware version 9.99

Hi all,
The ps3 boots up perfect when i update it reads 100% then goes to the install screen where it gives me the error.
Apparently its a downgraded console but im not sure how it was downgraded there is no e3 flashes protruding out of it
GeoHot installed but when i try to install qa toggle pkg they get an error too they are 3.55 pkg's its starting to sound like the ps3

did you try the 3.55.3 (not 4) rebug downgrader pup and do you have a fsm dongle?

does is start up properly or does it start up in recovery mode?
