have i lost my cfw ?

was you using cex or dex before hd crash and no you shouldnt have lost cfw

You sure it was named correctly?


You have not lost your jailbreak as that lives on the nand/nor chip on the ps3 motherboard

Was you on dex or cex?

If you converted to dex & where still on rex you will have to now install D-rex

i was on rebug 4.70.1 cobra d-rex but i was on cex at the time

yh i tryed d-rex still nothing

my sugestion would be to try another 4.70 cex firmware if your sure your on cex if that fails only alternative would be to redowngrade with 3.55 downgrader

only other issue i can see it being is usb faulty my ps3 is very picky when it comes to usb drives some that wont work in ps3 as fat32 work fine on pc

If you where on cex you need to install rex not d-rex

Also use right ps3 usb port & make sure no game in BD drive

yh i got habib 4.70cfw downloading now ive also tried three different usb's all on fat32 so im hoping that habib cfw will work

Hey there, if you're still having trouble I would suggest downloading either Rebug's 3.55 downgrader or just 3.55 OFW straight up. Hope this helps!
