Make sure your PS3UPDAT.PUP Dont read "PS3UPDAT.PUP.PUP" Ive made this mistake a few times, just worth a look.

That makes it come up as corrupted? Ok ill try it

your ps3 softbricked... put PS3 UPDATE PS3UPDAT.PUP the plug usb in right port of ps3 then press start select then it should work.

I tried reinstalling rebug, but i got no applicable update data was found

That PUP will downgrade you back to 3.55 then install 3.55 cfw and toggle QA then reinstall you 4.70 or what ever you cfw was in the firstplace.

I did not mean change it to "PS3UPDAT.PUP.PUP" I meant make sure it dont say PS3UPDAT.PUP.PUP... Refer to my other reply

When installing this make sure your ps3 ports are empty and make sure you dont have a disk in the disk drive.
