(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Greetings.

I wasn't too sure what to put as the title but recently I've had some problem with games and I was told the only option is by restoring it back to factory settings or something along those lines.

I've just downgraded from REBUG 4.70.1 REX to 3.55 using a REBUG 3.55 999 Downgrader which worked and I'm now on 3.55CFW.

My question is how would I go about resetting my ps3, keeping it on 3.55 or installing a higher CFW that'll wipe the PS3 but it'll still be able to install CFW on it.

Hopefully this makes sense.

Thanks, Adam.

put the hdd drive in a pc and do a repartition and format.

which should make sure all the hdd data is gone.

use the recovery menu to do a system settings restore.

thats about it really.

So I'd have to pull my PS3 apart?

And will that still stay on 3.55FW?

Is there no other solution?

If I were to update to REBUG 4.70.1 via Recovery Mode, will that wipe everything or would it be the same as doing it through XMB?

Reformatting for a game issue seems way over the top. What issue are you having with games?

The HDD is on the Left side of your Console, you can pull off the Plastic what is covering it with a Screw Driver. ~SwarMzY~

I'm getting an error with Black Ops 2, I accidentally edited some trophies and I accidentally deleted the folder. Put the folder back in after getting an error and I've tried every solution. It works in other PS3s and yeah, not too sure.

I've made a thread about it and I've never wanted to play a game more than when I can't play it.

Have you tried deleting all BO2 files and re-installing the game and/or patches?

I've deleted everything I could find, tried re-installing and everything. I'm not sure what to do.

Did you delete all BO2 data from both Game save data and Ps3 save data?
