I've always wanted to jailbreak my PS3. Mainly to mod offline because I know I can be banned. I already have a downgrade compatible ps3 Nand and usb drive just in case. Anyway, what would I need to buy to completely downgrade my PS3 without issues? I know I need something called e3 flasher, but I also heard I need a bunch of other stuff like sdhc card and downgrade dongle. Plus I hear buying the wrong dongle can mess it up.My goals are to downgrade my PS3 to 3.55, but also be able to switch to 4.70 (the latest) to play online (which I heard you can do). After I downgrade, I want to jailbreak (obviously) and be able to mod game files offline. What would I need to buy? If possible please leave me links to the best and cheapest things I need, but ones that are top rated and work. Thank you very much I really am looking forward to modding.

OK, u need to buy E3 flasher IF ur console got a nor chip, not nand. also the dongle (FSM) is not required these days, Also the Esata station is not required as well! The Sd card, and Sd Card reader, is required, just buy a cheap 2 GB sd card, to put the back ups on it, and update the flasher. After flashing ur console, u will need a usb that is formatted to Fat32, for the 3.55 OFW.

He can still downgrade if he has nand :/ He will just need a teensy or progskeet which requires soldering.

Just hope that u got a nor console, those r wayyyyyy tooooo easier to downgrade than the nand ones

Unlucky, u need to buy progskeet , or teensay 2.0 ++, and u will need to solder, ,,,, if i was, i would just give it to someone, that got experience in downgrading, or just sell it and buy 3.55 ps3, up to u, after all, its ur console not mine!
