a friend gave me a fat PS3 40 G with CFW 4.70 and broken blueray disk reader .

The problem is that any homebrew as multiman or fan control , do not start , keeps the screen in Black

I have understood that this happens to have broken the br disk, and read in a other site that this problem is solved with DEX systems

and tried to pass it dex .

to begin installing the downgrader Rogero ,

and this is where I have the problem , because every time I try to install any CFW me it is black screen, and if I try from the recovery mode , tells me that the latest version of the software already installed ...

What should I do ??

get a downgrader from that firmware thn upgrade to habib or rebug or whatever ur prefrence is and install homebrew apps...
the firmware ur using right now might be an unsuppoerted firmware for homebrews
