(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Please read the entire post before replying. I was on 4.70 Habib CFW with Multiman & PSN patch installed and the PS3 was working fine. I was able to play games from the HDD, able to play game disks. I was awaiting the release of a CFW 4.75 before attempting to go online BUT THEN THIS HAPPENED. I loaded Call Of Duty Black Ops 2 disk in the PS3 and it asked for a game update, not a system software update. I clicked X to allow the game update so I could play. The game updated, when I went back into the room the XMB screen had changed. I checked the firmware version and now it says 4.25. Install Package files folder is gone, multiman gives an error message when you try to run it. How is it possible the PS3 downgraded itself to 4.25. NOTE:: I WAS NOT SIGNED INTO PSN. Thank you for your help

ok but can you answer the question of how it happened so I don't accidentally do it again. So once again I will say I was running Habib CFW 4.70 (system settings/system information showed 4.70), multiman 4.70, PSN patch 4.70.07. Here is exactly what I did if someone can tell me what step I missed and how Call of Duty Black Ops2 saw the 3.55 OFW and upgraded it to 4.25 ( minimum requirement for the game) but didn't update me to the latest 4.75 OFW. The machine was on CFW 4.75. I put in the game disk, I did not click multiman or psn patch( was not going to go online). the game wanted an update and then I was on 4.25. Why did the game not see the 4.70 CFW I was on. I am trying to be as detailed and specific as possible to find out what I did wrong for the game to see the 3.55 OFW.

How big was the update? PS3's do not just magically install firmware without your consent.

Ok so when I flash it back to 3.55 OFW & install the latest CFW I will need to still run this system update debug? Where is it located? So to be clear even though I was on 4.70 CFW the Black Ops 2 game somehow saw the 3.55 OFW and updated it to the lowest OFW to run Black Ops 2 which is 4.25. Could I have run my latest PSNPATCH? I thought that was just for going online. I thought HABIB 4.70 turned on the system update debug automatically. Thanks
