As for downgrading you download a 3.55 downgrader search it on google make sure its for CEX place it in a folder like PS3/UPDATE/Place the 3.55 here ( rename to PS3UPDAT.PUP ) not 100% sure if this is correct but I haven't downgraded for ever so I recommend watching a vid on YT

I recommend downgrading to rogero 3.55 then to kmeaw 3.55 and enable QA flag and from up there you can convert to any firmware you want.
I personally recommend rebug! You can go back n fourth (Dex to CEX or CEX to DEX )

the rogero 3.55 dont work he tried it and didt work but he hasnt tried the rebug downgrader

Im guessing he's trying to update via xmb? That would be the reason y and I would recommend qa flagging b4 he does n e thing! So the steps should be
1) QA Flag
2) Check to see if he's QA Flagged by going down setting and hover over network settings the press L1,L2,R1,R2,L3 and D-Pad Down button and a debug menu will pop up and this is how u tell uve successfully flagged.
3)download rogero9.99 downgrader
4)make a folder on the root of ur usb named PS3
5)Inside tht PS3 Folder make another folder name UPDATE
6)drag ur rogero9.99 downgrader into the UPDATE folder u created and rename the rogero file to PS3UPDAT.PUP
7)Go into "recover" mode on ur PS3 and select the 6th option "Update" and ur done.
Note: I would recommend going from there to 3.55OFW to dehash then up2 rebug 4.70.1 or what ever CFW he prefers just NOT FerroX 4.75 as people have reported instabans

I don't think its that simple, you have to dump eid_root_key and alot of other steps that you have left out.

There are alot of good tutorials on youtube!

No Danny9 it really is tht easy as of 4.65 rebug u kan now dump eid and flash file direct from toolbox then convert it takes all but 2mins tops lol I do it on a daily basis man

We use to have to go down to 3.55 to dump eid then bak to 4.21 to dump flash then insert in pc and use a program to convert the flash file in cmd 2 dex then re flash bak to ps3 n vualla but now it's so much easier
