You should install Control Fan Utility or webMAN mod to control your fan speed and that will help you get better cooling on your PS3, my PS3 CPU and RSX temperatures were at 70C-86C (78C average) before. Now after 1 hour of gaming I'm getting 60C-69C (65C average) after I installed webMAN mod and adjusted the fan speed.

Change your thermal past or install webMAN to change your fan settings.

New thermal paste doesnt always help. But it is recommended to try! if you use your ps3 for over 4 hours a day there is the issue. Using your ps3 to much will definately do some damage to something. Ps3's are very old and in some cases maybe it is the age what is making it overheat because it has been played to much.

I have to console a cfw and an ofw I use the ofw more but wen I wanna mod I use my jailbroke and he overheats really fast and thx guys for the help I will try the webman thing thx!! <3

Your Thermal Paste needs to be changed and your PS3 Dust needs to be cleaned out as well. Send it in to a shop and they'll do both for about $20.
