(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi NGU
I have a problem that I need assistance with..... My playstation(Rebug 4.70) when I try to start it up from the red light it starts and the green light shows for 1-2 seconds then shuts right off with no light and I have to disconnect the power cord and reconnect for the red light to appear again... I have had it only for about 3 weeks and it has worked great, so any suggestions?????? Thanks!

Does the light turn yellow quickly before shutting down? Sounds a lot like YLOD

Can you boot into safe mode?(im guessing not?) Sounds like a motherboard problem, i found this on another dev site :
"if PS3 turns off within 3-5sec and returns Red Blinking Light
* PS3 requires reworking. GPU needs to be reballed or reflow (reflow is also effective if done correctly, but reflow only works in very rare cases and only last for days or months)

if PS3 turns off less than 1 seconds with Red Blinking light
* HDD problem or Power supply problem or power source problem

if PS3 immediately turns off from powering on without red blinking light and no triple beeps
* CPU problem, requires reballing (reflow may work but may not last) or worst its busted CPU"

Unfortunately I cannot reach recovery mode but this seems like the last option can this be fixed or will I be on the market for a new one?

Alright thank you both for the help! But I'd like if this could be left open just in case someone has had this problem
