Suspended account would show a message like: This account has been banned or suspended from using playstation network

Console ban: This console has been banned or suspended from using playstation network

And the only way you can un ban your self is to buy a new CID (as already mentioned) And if you're on CFW sony wont temporarily suspend you. You're perma banned untill you get a new CID.

If I buy a console ID is there anyway of "storing" it on my console so I don't have set it u every time I go online? I've found a Russian guy who sells them for just over $10, can anyone give me any guidelines on telling if a seller is legit?

Lol, if you are buying one for $10 then it is for sure a shared CID, no one sells them PRIVATELY for $10

Also remember to use PSNPatch before every time you login, helps reduce ban risk.

this..100% private cids go for around 20-30$ range..some even charge as high as 40 bucks !

You dont have to change it every time you go online you can just change the CID on the actual console

Check your email, you probably got an email from Sony.
No you can't just phone and tell them some bullshit so they unban you, it's not that easy
