90% of modern day routers support WiFi so you can just connect without any cable connection to the PS3 from the router.

It really just depends, they make routers for both wi-fi and ethernet connection.

I would recommend Ethernet though for hardcore gamers because of the internet connection speeds and you will pull host a lot.

Cool... your point is? I was just telling you because you said 90% of the routers are made with wi-fi.

okay thanks guys. This really did help me out. it all works perfectly now. One last question. am i bassically ready to go and rtm bo2? All i need to do is put a debug eboot and get an rtm tool, and it should all work fine right?

Oh and one last question to you guys, Everything is working fine, but as soon as i use Irisman to spoof my console id, the disc game dissapears. what do you think the issue is?

I wouldn't use Irisman. I don't trust the whole "spoofing" thing. I would use Multiman as it works the best for a lot of people.
