i want to jailbreak it then install mod menu for gta 5, i used the no jailbreak version menu but once i cant play with friends theres no funny at all

Yes, a 3.55 OFW can install CFW by a USB. The problem is that some people on eBay and Amazon try to scam by selling the CID on the PS3 before selling it. So when you get it, it will be console banned. That is why I recommend a 3.55 OFW. Of course, they could've pulled the CID and downgraded back to 3.55 OFW... There really is no foolproof way unless you buy a brand new Slim or FAT, flash it yourself, and jailbreak it. But that is a tough process. If I were you, I would go with the 3.55 OFW.

some fat ps3 have the nor clip like cechk01 or cechl01 model can also be downgraded using a e3 flasher basically the way u can tell if a ps3 fat is nor is the model number on it u know the part that starts with cech and whatever number at the end of it or the fact that it only has 2 usb ports which is important because the ps3 fat versions with the 4 ports has a nand clip & can only be downgraded using either progskeet or teensy

wich ps3 can i get to jailbreak without using hardware tools?
