Purchased a ps3 ages ago that was modded.

Then today I wanted to update it fron 4.70 dex to 4.75 dex, so I did.

Now I don't have internet on the ps3 no more, I can't login to psn atleast.

Can someone help, and maybe even suggest a better cfw (include steps if so)?

Is the error you get Connection to the Server Timed Out? If not, then what is the error?

Um... your idps is probably a debug one. Happens to me.

0000000100820005 would be dex
0000000100840005 would be cex
(yours might look different as mine is a USA console.(think thats how it works. google))

Best way to fix it would be to use webman and have it do it for you every boot. webman games>webman settings> check and modify "change idps and psid in lv2 memory at system startup" to use your original. Save your settings and click "restart ps3"
this is supposed to be a feature in rebug toolbox but it doesnt work for me.
you could also use psnpatch but you gotta do it every time you boot. Uses a txt file. google it.

To find your idps n psid use psnpatch. Not sure if webman sets it up at first. PSID is not needed.

make sure u have spoof installed and make sure ur cid is a valid one and is set to cex. u can to this in rebug toolbox

Rebug Toolbox > Utilities > Change Active PS3ID > Use EID0: 84 (CEX) then reboot ps3

You dont need to spoof on DEX :p his Active PS3ID is probably on DEX

must depend what cfw he on cos im on dex 4.50 and i use the 4.70 spoof,

He has already stated that he is on 4.75. By not spoofing will not make it to where you arent able to sign in. You dont need to spoof however it is optional to do so if you're on a lower CFW but in this case he is not.
