Thought? The e3 would not accept update via sd,,, i used usb cord and it worked but i get 01000000 code when i try to dump, must be a problem with sd card, im going buy a new one

Is your SD card working, can you place it on your PC and drag/drop files?

Do, you have a clamp of any sort?

Did you take a vlaid dump yet or no?

Is your SD card formated to FAT32?

My sd card was the problem,,, i bought a new one and everything worked,,, i did brick the ps3 during patch, but i solder a wire on mother board which bypassed, finished installing patch , took off wire , installed rogero downgrader and now im on ofw 3.55,, my next step is cfw, mod menus, and whatever that protection app is, and anything else yall know of,,,, heres my deal i dont want to pirate, i just want to mod games i own so any more help to keep me good would be helpful

Most will probably suggest you convert to DEX. There is usually a better variety of mod menus you can use..as well as some other pros..

You will need a firmware spoofer in order to go online(sign in) without it asking you to first update your console. This will spoof your firmware version to match sony's current official firmware, which is 4.78

ARCH's 4.78 spoofer
1. Install Archspoofer to your ps3
2. Open archspoofer
3. Select your firmware version
4. follow prompt and install
It will ask if you want to reboot
5. Click yes
On next boot, system settings>system information>your firmware version should now match sony's current official firmware( 4.78 )

You are then free to sign into psn, if you wish.


SENenabler
1. install SENenabler to your ps3
2. Open SENenabler
3. Select "SEN/PSN options"
It will ask "do you want to enable sen"?
4. Click yes
It will enable and ask if you want restart
5. Click yes, hard reboot
On next boot, system settings>system information>your firmware version should now match sony's current official firmware( 4.78 )

You are then free to sign into psn, if you wish.
