(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello So I soft brick my ps3 fat that I downgrade it by myself and then after I jailbroken it by rebug 4.78.1 REX then I tranfered my ps3 from CEX to DEX now I downloaded a old file stupid me decided to do it but I downloaded a firmware to play online on DEX so when I downloaded that my ps3 went on a black screen and i knew that I have to wait for it just to rest it but it was there for a long time so I go and turn off the ps3 and then I turned it on and it was still on a black screen so I decided to swich hard drives and Now please tell me if I can fix it I don't care if I have to update to 4.78 or I have to delete all of my suff or do both please help me out anyone also the hard drive that I have in right now says update firmware 1.97 or later and that is the 160gb and that was the one that I switch the 40 gb HDD with my 40GB HDD says to update to 2.50 or later so which HDD do I choose and please help me anyone

put in any harddrive and just reinstall 4.78.1 D-REX

1. Install your new hdd to the ps3.
2. Boot ps3 into recovery mode
3. Select option "restore ps3 system"

this will wipe everything and format the new hdd to the ps3.

Once it is done, you will be brought to a black screen asking for the last syscall (last cfw you had installed)

How do you want me to set up the files on the usb should I do It like this PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP or is there other way you want me to do this please answer back as soon as possible

that is correct. Same as installing another update.

flash drive in the right most usb port of the ps3

Also the HDD that I have in right now says that it can take 1.97 or later updates and that HDD is 160gb and it was used from a YLOD PS3 and it accpets the 3.55 OFW update then when it is reading it by checking it says that data is corupted and then gives me a code with bars around it this is not the code that I got but it looks like this

CODE= (8A57B23Z34C) Data corupted this was for the 3.55 OFW

it doesn't say that code or anyting else also is it bad to use another hard dive from a ps3 fat that has a YLOD or no also I have 2 PS3's so could I go on the working one and put my HDD in the ps3 then format it to that ps3 then after that can I put it back into the ps3 that is soft bricked and then try it again should it work after that as contact me please on KIK
