Does it work when you turn on your PS3 from the controller? If not , then I'm not sure if I can help , because I never had this problem!

You can try to boot your console in to recovery mode and select options "restore file system" and "rebuild database"

These options will not remove anything and will attempt to fix any errors that the ps3 may be having.

If you are talking about it just won't load up or is lagging so won't load while in a game, then that is typical sometimes. Can be a sign of a full hdd and/or other things..
I've also heard this a few times from people on 4.78 cfw, perhaps it is not 100% stable firmware, being the latest and all...
True! It could be something dealing with that CFW! You can give this a try if you want to see if it works or not! Good luck! Smile

Has this concluded your questions? or are you still looking for the answer of the new question?

It could be a software or setting doing it, but unlikely since that would have been ruled out when you reinstalled your cfw. You could try reinstalling any homebrew you use in hopes that all those settings are defaulted as well..

If bad comes to worst, you could try to reformat your hdd and see if it helps. Even after formatting, the hdd could just be worn and need to be replaced with a better working unit, which could be why you are seeing lag and not a crash or malfunction, but it could be worth a try..

Other than that I am pretty much out of ideas man.

Best of luck to you!
