I just got a E3 Flasher and was following a tutorial when my ps3 wouldn't boot anymore. It now turns on and sits there, there's no audio or video and won't turn off unless I hold the power button for 30 seconds or pull the cord. I know its not a problem of HDMI vs. RCA because I've tried the video reset method, and it can't boot into recovery mode to allow me to format it, when I hold the power button upon boot it just turns off and stays off. I wasn't able to get a dump file before this happened either and every dump I get now is bad. I didn't flash anything to it either I just was trying what this guy did here You must login or register to view this content. at 24:37 because I wasn't getting any dumps before. Now it won't boot.

Here's the tutorial I followed: You must login or register to view this content.

I'll try putting it all back together. Currently the PSU, the fan with heatsinks, the hard drive and motherboard are all together. I might try reflowing my ps3 to see if that helps. I also may have made the heatsink too tight. Idk why though I keep getting the bad dumps with the ps3 as though something got corrupted.

Put a clamp on the nor chip with the e3 flasher attached and try the dumps again after you put it back together

check that your are not working on a carpet and that you are not shorting part of the ps3 out Smile

1st step - go put ps3 on a table clamp the nor clip on to the nor chip with a good clamp that will cover the whole chip ( NOT A SMALL ROUND ONE ! )
2nd step - turn console on see if it works and then dump with 3rd switch up and rest down Smile
3rd step - copy dump to pc
4th step - take another dump
5th step- check both dumps with swizzys dump checker
6th step- if all good patch with swizzys dump checker
7th step- put the patched bin on your usb etc and all switches down to flash to the ps3
8th step- when done flashing take 1 more dump to check it flashed ok then turn off re paste put back together and do what ever you like :P

hope this helps :p because there could be something shorting part of the board !
