im stuck on dex without a blueray drive

cannot open any homebrew without it therefore I cannot dump eid to remarry another Angry

Any suggestions? I've tried going to a non bd dex firmware to see if homebrew opens then but no still not working.

was wondering if there is a way to grab it through target manager or anything like that.

thanks

u should check your tmp folder to see if your eid is still in there, other than that just put back the old bluray drive back in.

Doesnt usually save to the tmp folder man either game/RBGTLBOX2/USDIR (ive checked that folder)

OR

it saves into dev rebug , but I cant access that as I cannot get into toolbox.....

Dont have the original daughter board or drive either

1. Install You must login or register to view this content.
2. Open rebug toolbox, go to the furthest right column and enable qa flag
3. Go to restart system
4. Once restarted, you should be able to go under network settings and get debug settings to pop up when you press(l1,l2,l3,r1,r2,DPADdown altogether)

Try to dump the eid on that firmware

or

Then dump the eid,

or try on (You must login or register to view this content.) or higher firmware

Im pretty sure the eid stays there basically forever after you dump it. You cannot normally open apps on a downgrader. With the above you are able to install any cfw of your choice. So dump it on a downgrader, then go to another firmware so you can ftp and get it out of the toolbox directory (or wherever it saves).

I just got myself a CECHA01 model without BR Drive on latest firmware and will probably run into this issue myself once I get it downgraded. I've heard/seen you can re-marry it (assuming that's what you're doing) with a PSP or downgrading to 3.55 but I just seen the latest rebug firmware has some settings to re-marry the BD Drive. If one can't enter rebug toolbox without BD Drive then this feature useless!

You don't need to insert a Blu Ray movie, correct?

No sir. I was assuming there is not a bd drive at all.

I'm currently on 4.78.2 nobd D-REX

when i try to open toolbox it just black screens as there's a drive in there but its not married, therefore I cannot dump eid....

I've searched whole HDD through target manager to see if its on there but it's not. only place where I think it would be is dev_rebug but cant access it due to not being able to get into toolbox Angry
