I read somewhere I need 4.45 CFW to run torrented games, will this downgrade affect my ability to use CCAPI 2.60 and other programs, can I directly downgrade? If so does anyone have a custom firmware that will work with downloaded games?

You were told wrong. You simply need to make sure that after you downloaded them from the internet and extracted them from the rar into a folder you use Filezilla and dragged them into the GAMES folder in devhdd0 on your PS3. I've done this myself so i know it works.

Nah i'm on 4.78 REBUG so i'm even higher then you and it works for me so you'll be fine

Filezilla isn't the fastest so even with a beastly connection it'll take some time

Got the game working mate but I cant play it as I need to download an 8.6gb update which is fine.... The problem is THE FUCKER isnt starting its stuck on 0% and I tried it twice.... Please help this is for Destiny and I need to download Version 1.21 for ps3 update

Well if you can't update right from the game your only solution is to google the update .pkg files for it.
