You could reinstall your cfw..
This will keep your games, saves, etc..

or you could reformat the hdd..
This will wipe everything, games, saves, etc. You will need to reinstall your cfw as well..


Although,

If you think it may have to do with a certain homebrew, you could try reinstalling the homebrew in hopes the settings will default..

If you think you have corrupted a game, just delete the game and traces in Game Data Utility folder, then reinstall everything..

If it was just the eboot and sprx, then just swap them out with originals...

How do I reinstall my cfw without losing everything, and is there a chance I could brick my console or reset it back to ofw? Thanks for the help mate

As long as you don't select update system through internet or install an OFW(official firmware), you'll be fine.

If you are installing a firmware that is lower than the one you are currently on, you will need to install a downgrader cfw first and then a cfw of your choice. You must login or register to view this content.
If your target type(shown in rebug toolbox/system information) is DEX, install only DEX firmwares. If your target type is CEX, install only CEX firmwares.

To install a firmware:

1. Download your cfw
2. Rename the file to "PS3UPDAT.PUP" (no quotes)
3. On a fat32 formatted flash drive, create a folder named "PS3"
4. Inside the "PS3" folder, create a folder named "UPDATE"
5. Inside the "UPDATE" folder, place the "PS3UPDAT.PUP"
6. Insert the usb flash drive into the right most usb port of the ps3

7. On the xmb, go to the top of the second column from the left, and select Update System
8. Select from storage device
9. Select the cfw on your usb flash drive
10. Follow prompt and install

Next reboot should be the cfw you installed

I currently have have something like Dex 2.70.1 cobra, you think I should stick to that or get a higher version?
