Well in order to get to DEX you would have needed to convert to it. So you should still have your CEX and DEX flashes, all you have to do is swap your lv2 Kernal and Target ID in toolbox to CEX.

i did this years ago on these ps3 and since then i've had to overhaul my shitty laptop a couple times so i dont have anything. so i'll look around for the tutorial and files aswell i'll need to get rebug toolbox again and probably multiman and who knows what else...dammit

All you'll need to convert or should need is toolbox, but you'll need to be on a 4.70+ CFW Rebug to convert easily.

i dunno what the hell i did but when i try to open toolbox, it says "your system is not running on compatible rebug configuration. some options will not be available." hit okay then " your system is not running on compatible rebug cobra configuration"

then i go into it and under system information my lvl 2 is CEX and target type is DEX.

So you need to change target ID, but I believe that means you aren't on Rebug. Go ahead and check if you can swap target.

i cant see an option for that. i downloaded 4.80.1 and checked to see if it would let me update to that and it actually lets me click on it.

It'll let you click and all, but if there's an issue you'll get an error during install, you can go to that Rebug to convert if you want.

yes i was able to go to rebug d rex 4.80.1 now toolbox works and lvl 2 kernal and target type are both DEX
so now that im back to this point, what i have to do is swap lv2 Kernal and Target ID in toolbox to CEX....then downgrade to one of the 3.55's? then back up to the newest ofw?
