If you want to change your CFW from Habib 4.70 CEX to Rebug 4.78.1 REX, all you need to do is install the CFW as long as you have QA toggled. If you already have a jailbroken PS3 chances are it's already toggled. If not look for this to give you a hint if it is or isn't. After it's installed, reinstall CCAPI and you're good.

You just sent me to the downgrader. Nothing about how to enable QA toggle, etc. I've never downgraded. The console came jailbroken. And my DEX one came on 3.55 by default so I just installed rebug and was good.

If you are on cfw atm, I assumed you are QA flagged sorry. You only need to do it once initially upon jailbreak so most likely you are and don't need to unless you wanted to reset the debug settings altogether. It will only not let you install a cfw from the downgrader. You can confirm if you are QA flagged by going to the XMB, bottom of second column from the left, under network settings should be your debug settings.

If you would like to QA flag, you must do so on 3.55. So once you are on 3.55 downgrader, simply run this You must login or register to view this content. console will restart with a beep, and next restart you should see your debug settings come up after pressing this button combination (L1,L2,L3,R1,R2,DpadDown altogether)

If you see debug settings pop up, you know you are good to move on to installing a firmware.

Make sure no discs are in your console when installing updates and such btw

That is an indication that you are QA flagged, yes. You would be good to install a cfw based on your console's region, which is currently (CEX)

So as long as I install REBUG_4.78.1_REX I'm good?
